Part 12
Keyboard shortcuts
Every shortcut in the app on one page, with its default keys. To keep a copy by the console, print this page with ⌘P in your browser. The site's menus and footer are left off the printout.
Changing shortcuts
Everything in the App, File, Edit, Table, Layout and Markup tables below can be changed in Settings → Keybinds. The keyboard button at the right end of the editor's toolbar takes you straight there.
- Click an action's shortcut, then press the new keys. Most shortcuts need at least one of ⌘, ⇧ or ⌥, so a plain letter can't take over your typing.
- If two actions share a key, the row warns Also used by and names the other action.
- Reset puts one action back to its default. Reset all to defaults puts them all back.
Shortcuts don't fire while you're typing in a text box. Click an empty part of the window first. In Split View, shortcuts act on the side you last clicked.

Two kinds of zoom
The app has two separate zooms, and their shortcuts differ only by ⇧.
| Interface zoom (View menu) | Keys |
|---|---|
| Zoom In | ⌘= |
| Zoom Out | ⌘− |
| Actual Size | ⌘0 |
Interface zoom makes the whole app larger or smaller, from 80% to 200%, in every window. It's the same setting as the interface size in Settings → Accessibility, it's remembered between launches, and its keys are fixed.
| Layout zoom (Layout Mode only) | Default |
|---|---|
| Zoom In (Layout) | ⌘⇧= |
| Zoom Out (Layout) | ⌘⇧− |
| Reset Layout View | ⌘⇧0 |
Layout zoom only moves in and out of the floor plan, from 25% to 400%, and leaves the rest of the app alone. These are the Zoom In, Zoom Out and Reset View actions from the Layout table, so you can change them in Settings. In the menu bar they're under Edit. You can also zoom the floor plan with the scroll wheel or by pinching on a trackpad.
